Spotlight on Kindergarten

One of the many benefits of having a K-12 building is the meaningful connections formed between older and younger students. These interactions allow high school students to serve as mentors and role models while fostering a strong sense of community.

Recently, our junior class showcased their creativity by writing and illustrating children’s books inspired by a novel they read in class. They then visited the kindergarten classrooms to share their stories. Through engaging storytelling and thoughtful questions, the juniors encouraged the kindergarteners to explore comprehension skills and actively participate in the reading experience.
